童军活动(Scouting)是一项国际性的青少年社会运动，1907年由英国陆军中将罗伯特·贝登堡(Robert
Baden-Powell，1857-1941)发起，旨在培养与发展青少年的个人责任、团体活力和领导才能。
童军座右铭(Scout Motto)：Be prepared. 做好准备
童军口号(Scout Slogan)：Do a good turn daily. 日行一善
童军誓言(Scout Oath)：On my honor I will do my best
To do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law;
To help other people at all times;
To keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.

童军活动最先组织起来的是男童军(Boy Scouts)，后来又发展出女童军(Girl Scouts)。美国男童军
(Boy Scouts of America，简称BSA)成立于1910年，美国女童军(Girl Scouts of the United States of
America，简称GSUSA)成立于1912年。

the Brown Birds. Remember? Dad bought every one of my boxes and I ate them all.
Ross: No, Mon. Dad had to buy every one of your boxes because you ate them all.
310.Ross: Sister Brown Bird, good going.
310.Chandler: Tell what happened, Brown Bird Ross.
Ross: Well, I lost. Some little girl loaned her uniform to her 19-year-old sister who went down to the
U.S.S. Nimitz and sold over 2000 boxes.
在第三季第10集中，Ross不小心弄伤了一个小女孩。为了帮她实现去太空营的愿望，Ross替她四处推销

美国童军除雇佣少数专职人员以外，在管理上主要依靠成年志愿者。剧中Chandler的父亲是名同性恋者，
den mother是担任幼童军小队的女训导。现实情况是，美国男童军直到2013年才对公开的同性恋者敞开
大门，但依然禁止同性恋成年人担任童军领袖。
